TOMMY

Emily jumping Tommy XC

1994, 16 hand chestnut Appendix gelding

About Tommy: Tommy has schooled through 1st level dressage, jumped courses through 2'6 and single fences through 3'9. He has schooled several Beg. Novice XC fences, including ditches and banks. He has a big, floaty, warmblood type trot. Tommy went to a couple schooling shows during the summer of 2007 and won several classes. He is super easy on the ground and has had extensive "natural horsemenship" work. He is a sweet guy that needs a knowledgeable owner.

Why he ended up with SCR: His past owner had him for about 4 years. He was not a good match for her, so he came to the program. He was most recently leased by a gal new to jumping. Tommy did brilliantly!

Tommy's issues: He needs an experienced rider that he can bond with. He has the tenancy to spook at various things while under saddle. He needs a rider that can tactfully handle the situation.

Past health & soundness issues: He had mild laminitis in the spring of 2007. It never caused a lameness, nor any issues as a result.

Ideal home: Tommy would be best suited in a dressage home, lower level eventing or lower level jumper home.
